Previously, Klemen Klobes, a Google software engineer, said, “beginning in May, we’ll start rolling out an update to mobile search results that increases the effect of the ranking signal to help our users find even more pages that are relevant and mobile-friendly.”
However, if your site is already mobile friendly, you will not be impacted by this update, he said. He also said to keep in mind that search query intent is still a very strong signal, and even if a site has high-quality content but is not mobile-friendly, it still has the opportunity to rank.
With this said, we highly recommend ensuring your site is mobile friendly. You can test your site here. If you need help making your site mobile friendly or just want more information on what a mobile-friendly site looks like, please give us a call today at 214-310-1356 or contact us via email.
